About Tereka

Tereka is a free money planner for young Nigerians. You enter your salary. Tereka shows your take-home pay under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025. Then it splits that pay into eight “cups”, sized to your pay. The cups are Operations, Giving, Emergency, Investment, Development, Savings, Project and Leisure. You can track what you really spend in a Google Sheet you own. Tereka plans and tracks money. It never holds it. It never asks for your bank login, BVN, PIN or OTP. It has no database of users. The name means “to save, to keep” in Luganda. Tereka was built in Lagos. It grew out of the Starting Out community.
