Proof of funds is money you show

Most of the official number is money that must sit in your account. It often has to stay there 28 days in a row before you apply. It isn't spent on fees. Keep it in its own cup and don't touch it.

About Starting Out

Where every figure comes from

We only use official pages, read on 1 Oct 2026. A blank means there is no single official figure. Type your own.

Stay or go, give it a cup

In Tereka, your Project cup is for big goals like this one. You fill it every payday, next to rent, food and emergency money. So the plan for later doesn't eat today's money.

Free, no account. Tereka never holds your money.

Questions

How much is Canada proof of funds in naira?

For Express Entry, one person needs CAD 15,263. This is the IRCC figure from 7 July 2025, checked 1 October 2026. Multiply it by today's naira rate for the Canadian dollar. Families need more. Some applicants with a valid job offer do not need to show it.

How much does a UK student need to show?

GOV.UK asks for £1,529 a month in London. Outside London, it is £1,171 a month. You show this for up to 9 months, plus any unpaid course fees. The visa fee is £558 if you apply from outside the UK. The health surcharge is £776 a year for students. We checked these on 1 October 2026.

Why is the US amount blank?

The US doesn't publish one proof-of-funds figure for students. Each school works out its own cost of attendance. It prints that on your Form I-20. Type the amount from yours.

Is this immigration advice?

No. It adds up official figures so you can plan your savings. Rules and fees change. Check the official page linked for each figure before you apply. If your case is not simple, speak to a regulated adviser.

This is not immigration or financial advice. Check the official sites before you apply. We read the figures on the linked official pages on 1 October 2026. They can change without notice. You enter your own exchange rate. Tereka has no link with any embassy, school or visa agent.
